I have been a full time UK registered psychotherapist for the last 25 years and have worked with people from a broad range of backgrounds on issues such as anxiety, self-esteem, relationship conflict, nervous breakdown, and bereavement.

Prior to this, a love of the natural beauty of wood led me to train as a successful craftsman-woodturner in Devon for 20 years. I became increasingly interested in counselling and therapy in the early 1980s and completed the four-year postgraduate Psychotherapy training at the Karuna Institute on Dartmoor.

The Institute was one of the first to teach mindfulness-based psychotherapy and continues to train students from many parts of the world. I have contributed to the training as a Supervisor for clinical year students and have frequently been a member of the Institute’s graduation and accreditation panel.

Core Process Therapy integrates Western psychotherapeutic theories and techniques, with Buddhist psychology and basic mindfulness practices. It is a depth psychotherapy: taking account of our early formative and developmental experiences, and how this may influence us in our present lives.

Therapy can be enjoyable as well as challenging and in this approach the client-therapist relationship is considered paramount in building a safe, supportive environment for inner exploration and self-healing.

I live in Pembrokeshire in Wales in the UK, and since 2020 I work online on Zoom, Facetime (for Macs) and Skype.

Sessions are weekly for 1 hour, enquire for present fees.
